Friends of Wendell Park
The Friends support the school in a number of ways: by fundraising, by organising events, by offering specialist support, by being a sounding board on ideas and developments for the school.

The Football Tournament 2009 - Organised by Friends

The group is a registered charity with an elected committee and membership drawn from parents, staff, carers and any interested people from the local community who want to be involved in the life of the school.

The Committee consists of:

Alison Hird - Chair
Brenda Gregson and Clare Holland - Joint Secretary
Abby Spurway - Treasurer
Rachel Stewart - Co-treasurer

Ordinary Committee members
Sophie Sainty
Sophie Padmore
Monica Hererres
Simon Cooper

We organize events – from big ones like Summer and Winter Fairs, to weekly cake stalls.

By these activities, we raise funds to support priorities set by the school

What Can I do to help?

Give time to help with events e.g. bake cakes, help run a stall at a Fair, help with Book Fairs

Make a donation

Come to the AGM and other general Friends meetings (there is one a term at least) and make suggestions

It is YOUR Friends group, and YOU can make things happen.

To get in touch email

Come to meetings

Talk to any of the Committee (we are usually in the playground before and after school)

Leave a message with the office

What if I cannot attend meetings but can offer a 'one-off'?

The school is keen to utilise all the talents and offers of support that you give us. It doesn't matter if that means being able to help once or on a regular basis, just let us know.

How do the Friends communicate?

The school newsletter has regular contributions from the Friends group and especially on up and coming events. These pages will be updated regularly too. There is a Friends Noticeboard in the playground on the wall opposite the front entrance where we will display information.
